FAQ
-
Applications remain open after Dec 1, 2026. If an accepted individual can no longer attend an Expedition, applicants on the waiting list will be contacted.
You may apply to any and all Expeditions. Selections should be ranked with the trip you’d like to attend most being your first selection.
The waiting list will be used to fill spots up to 4 weeks before an Expedition starts.
Applications will be open until roughly 6 weeks before the first day of a given Expedition.
-
Upon acceptance to an Expedition, you will receive information on registering using the Classy fundraising platform.
Each Expedition in 2026 requires a $50 non-refundable deposit at the time of registration, which is applied as a credit toward the registration fee. The entire fee can be fundraised or paid out of pocket.
Fundraising is highly encouraged, as it helps fund future opportunities and spreads the word about the incredible journey you’re about to embark on!
-
Expeditions are led by volunteer Expedition Guides. Guides are veterans/service members, and are also dedicated members of the Team RWB community. With safety in mind, all guides are trained in wilderness medicine.
-
Applicants will receive notification starting Dec 12. Keep in mind that with a high volume of applications, there may be delays in sending notifications.
If you have applied after that date and the Expedition is full, you will be notified via email that you are on the waitlist as soon as possible.
If accepted on an Expedition, you will be given a window to complete a few onboarding tasks and to confirm your participation. Should confirmation not be given or onboarding completed within the time detailed in your acceptance email, your spot will be given to another Eagle on the waitlist.
-
Please contact Expeditions@teamrwb.org if you have not received an update on the status of your application.

Lead an Expedition
Since 2021, Eagle Expeditions have brought Veterans and supporters together for unforgettable, resilience-building outdoor challenges. From the rugged Smokies and Boundary Waters to iconic parks like Yellowstone, Olympic, and a 94-mile circumnavigation of Mt. Rainier. Eagles go full feral in the wild to build community, test limits, and share adventure.
Team RWB is growing our cadre of trained outdoor leaders.
If you’re skilled in the outdoors, confident managing risk, and passionate about helping Eagles get feral, we want you.
