Overview

The Arctic Circle is more than a bucket-list destination, it’s a place that demands grit, curiosity, and full-on adventure. This Expedition covers 330 miles of gravel along the legendary Dalton Highway, starting at Galbraith Lake and rolling south through surreal tundra, mountain passes, and remote Alaskan outposts.

Expect long days (~50+ miles), cold temps, and the need for real bikepacking know-how. This Expedition is for experienced riders with tested gear, not a beginner trip.

Highlights

  • Climbing the north slope to Atigun Pass

  • Passing Wiseman, Coldfoot, and the Arctic Interagency Visitor Center

  • Snapping your photo at the Arctic Circle sign

  • Crossing the Yukon River before the final push south

Scenic view of rolling mountains with hiking trail, under a partly cloudy sky during sunset or sunrise.

“It was the jump start I needed which provided me with a sense of purpose and a mission. Health and wellness is something I have control of which doesn’t require someone else approval to do. This Expedition was an example of there isn’t a limit to what it is I’m capable of doing once I’ve set my mind to accomplishing it.”
