Atlanta Braves Third Baseman Austin Riley to support American Veterans as Part of Team RWB Advisory Board
October 4th, 2022 - Atlanta, GA - Ahead of the playoffs, Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization forging America’s leading health and wellness community for veterans, today announced the appointment of Austin Riley, World Series Champion and Atlanta Braves third baseman to its advisory board. As a new member of the group of renowned advocates and athletes, Riley adds his voice to a growing movement to show military veterans that their best days are ahead of them.
Riley has immense respect for military veterans and believes that a strong focus on health and wellness is important for all Americans. In August, Riley hosted his inaugural “Driving for Veterans” charity tournament at TopGolf raising more than $80,000 to benefit Team RWB. That experience left him eager to continue showing gratitude for members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
“Spending time with Team RWB members and veterans in August was a humbling experience,” said Austin Riley. “Hearing their stories first hand really showed me how much they have sacrificed in service to our nation. I truly want to make an impact not only on the field but also in my community, and serving as a member of Team RWB’s Advisory Board is an authentic way for me to give back.”
As a member of the Advisory Board, Riley plans to host a golf tournament in the spring of 2023 in support of Team RWB’s Eagle Expeditions. These events are epic adventures for veterans that challenge the body, humble the spirit, and encourage camaraderie to last a lifetime.

Later in the year, Riley will also lead a special WOD (workout of the day) at Team RWB’s Atlanta headquarters with veterans and participate in Team RWB’s Old Glory Relay.
