Vehicles For Veterans Helps Car Donation Foundation Top $200M
Car Donation Foundation d/b/a Vehicles For Veterans marks the milestone supporting longtime partners like Team Red, White & Blue and other American veterans charities
ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. — SEPTEMBER 2026 —Car Donation Foundation, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit parent of Vehicles For Veterans, has surpassed $200 million in lifetime vehicle donations — one of the largest milestones reached by any vehicle donation program in the country. Vehicles For Veterans, one of CDF's three donation programs, has directed proceeds from donated cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles to a national network of American veteran-focused charities, including Team Red, White & Blue.
Vehicles For Veterans has contributed over $1.3 million to Team Red, White & Blue to date, offering donors an alternative way to support the organization's mission by donating a vehicle rather than writing a check, with Vehicles For Veterans handling the pickup and sale.
"Reaching $200 million is really a thank-you to every person who handed us their keys instead of a check," said Loren Dorshow, Executive Director of Car Donation Foundation. "Team RWB does something we think is easy to overlook — they don't just help a veteran get through a hard day, they help build the community around them so the next day is a little easier too. That's the kind of work we're proud to have a small hand in."
Team Red, White & Blue was founded in 2010 to help veterans reconnect with their community through physical and social activity, and has since grown into America's leading health and wellness community for the military-connected community, with nearly 320,000 members and supporters across the nation. Operating left of clinical—before a veteran experiences crisis—Team RWB empowers veterans and service members to build healthier lives by strengthening four key areas: physical health, mental wellbeing, genuine relationships, and a sense of purpose. For many veterans, that sense of team is something they miss most after leaving the service, and Team RWB has built a way to give it back to them.
"Every vehicle donated through Vehicles For Veterans helps create opportunities for Veterans to build healthier, more connected lives,” said Col. (Ret.) Michael “Sully” Sullivan, Executive Director of Team RWB. “At Team RWB, we believe community is one of the most powerful forces for improving Veteran well-being, and this partnership allows us to reach more Veterans before they ever face a crisis. We're incredibly grateful to celebrate this milestone together and look forward to continuing our work to enrich the lives of America's Veterans."
Team Red, White & Blue is among the longest-standing beneficiaries of Vehicles For Veterans donations. The program also directs proceeds to other nationally recognized organizations, including Operation Homefront, Folds of Honor, Fisher House Foundation, Gary Sinise Foundation, Homes For Our Troops and others. Vehicles For Veterans is proud to stand alongside Team Red, White & Blue and looks forward to continuing that partnership well beyond this milestone, supporting an organization that believes the strongest path to lifelong health and well-being begins with connection, purpose, and community.
