Team RWB to engage veterans through step challenge
Marching Orders event encourages veterans to improve health and wellness through movement
Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), a nonprofit organization forging America’s leading health and wellness community for veterans, is hosting Marching Orders presented by Bravo Sierra, an annual physical challenge focused on movement. The seven-day challenge encourages veterans and supporters to commit to a step or adaptive push goal April 18 - 24, 2022.
Research shows that taking 5,650 steps a day can contribute to positive overall health and well-being. Whether an experienced athlete or beginner, Marching Orders is for everyone. Participants will select a run, walk, hike, ruck, or adaptive push goal at one of three difficulty levels.
“Marching Orders is a nationwide movement aimed to inspire veterans and supporters to improve their health through physical activity, that starts by putting one foot in front of the other," said Mike Erwin, Executive Director of Team RWB. “This event will challenge veterans to prioritize their health by tapping into the power of movement---and is a great first step for people of all fitness levels to begin their journey.”
On or near April 24, participants are encouraged to gather with their local chapter, veterans, family, and friends to crush their final daily goal and host a social to celebrate the accomplishment of completing Marching Orders.
“Bravo Sierra is thrilled to support Team RWB through Marching Orders. We have always proudly advocated for the military community and believe in the important work that Team RWB does,” said Erik Bartell, Bravo Sierra’s VP Community. “We look forward to supporting and participating in Marching Orders and continuing our partnership with Team RWB.”
To join the challenge, presented by Bravo Sierra, veterans and supporters are invited to register for a team or as an individual at teamrwb.org/marchingorders.
