Mission Accomplished: Old Glory Ultra Relay Reaches $1 Million Goal, Unleashing Greater Impact for Veteran Well-Being
WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 23, 2025 – Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), America’s leading health and wellness community for Veterans, today announced a significant achievement: its Old Glory Ultra Relay has officially surpassed its $1 million fundraising goal. This milestone, driven by the world-record-setting 3,000-mile cross-country relay, will help amplify Team RWB’s efforts to combat the urgent physical and mental health crisis facing our nation’s Veterans.
The Old Glory Ultra Relay saw twelve Veterans carry a single battle-flown American flag 3,000 miles from San Diego, Calif., to Washington, D.C., from May 2 to May 19. This journey inspired generosity from more than 1,600 individual and corporate supporters across the nation. The $1 million raised will directly fund Team RWB's impactful in-person and virtual programs, providing Veterans with crucial resources to build healthier lifestyles focused on physical health, mental health, genuine relationships, and a sense of purpose.
“In May, we set out to show the world what Veterans are capable of and we did just that when our team of Veteran ultrarunners crossed the Old Glory Ultra Relay finish line,” said Team RWB’s incoming Executive Director, Col. (Ret.) Michael “Sully” Sullivan. “What we couldn’t know was whether America would rally behind the mission. But it did, raising more than $1 million for our mission. That outpouring shows Americans believe Veterans will lead by example and pull the nation out of its health‑and‑wellness crisis and that Team RWB will be at the forefront of that movement, delivering the connection, support, and community Veterans deserve.”
The relay’s conclusion at the National Mall at the site of the future Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) memorial marked a historic moment, bringing communities together to celebrate and reflect on the significance of this monumental effort.
