Concept of Operations (CONOPS)

Situation:

This year marks the 79th anniversary of D-Day. This invasion marked the beginning of the end of World War II and was no small feat. The invasion force included 5,333 ships and landing craft which carried over 175,000 troops from 8 allied countries, including 57,500 American troops. There were also 20,000 Allied airborne troopers as well. The Allied forces succeeded in taking the beaches but at a great cost. Roughly 3,400 Allied troops were KIA that day.

Mission:

Honor the brave service members who looked fear in the eye and stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944 by taking on our D-Day Ruck.

Mission completion occurs by completing the Course of Action (COA) detailed below.
