CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS (CONOPS)
SITUATION
81 years ago, American and Filipino prisoners of war marched approximately 65 miles through jungles in the Philippines after surrendering to Japanese forces.
Approximately 10,000 American and Filipino service members were killed during the march and those who survived faced hardships as prisoners of war.
MISSION
Honor the heroic service members who defended the Philippine Islands during World War II for their sacrifice by completing the Bataan Memorial Ruck March.
UNIFORM
Ruck sack. Heavy (35lb+) or light (no weight). Supportive boots/shoes. Wear the Eagle.
