Coleman Ruiz

Coleman Ruiz is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a B.S. in Mathematics, and earned an MBA in Finance at the Government School of Business & Public Policy from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.

He served six operational combat deployments in both Afghanistan and Iraq. He has served as troop commander, joint task force commander, and executive officer at various levels of Naval Special Warfare, and served in U.S. Embassies in both Yemen and Kenya. Coleman also served as a training officer at both the basic and advanced Naval Special Warfare (SEAL) training schools.

Coleman is a partner at Anchor Capital Holdings, LLC a special asset investment group in Annapolis, MD. Coleman is the Co-Founder and Director of Performance at the Mission Critical Team Institute, which develops research and practice for the selection and professional development of Mission Critical Teams.  Coleman is also an advisor and partner at the Liminal Collective.

He serves as a military advisor to Anacapa Partners, a search fund in San Mateo, CA, advising and supporting the development of their veteran “searchers” and business owners. Coleman has served as a trainer, educator, and advisor for over a dozen collegiate teams, and professional athletic organizations.  He serves as a U.S. Naval Academy trustee for athletic and scholarship programs, and serves as a Senior Fellow at the U.S. Naval Academy’s VADM James B. Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership.

He lives in Annapolis, MD with his wife Bridget (also a U.S. Naval Academy graduate) and their three children, Coleman (age 18,) Ben (age 15,) and Oliver (age 11.)
