Shelby Gomez, a Marine Corps reservist and Motor Transport Mechanic, comes from a family with a rich military heritage. She discovered her passion for running in 2021, quickly progressing to ultramarathons and completing her first ultra within just five months. Shelby uses running as an outlet to improve her mental health and challenge herself, embodying the Eagle Fire spirit in her training for the Old Glory Ultra Relay.

Gavin Woody, a West Point and Stanford MBA graduate, is a seasoned operations executive and endurance athlete. He has completed over 100 ultramarathons, including wins at prestigious events like the Iditarod Trail Invitational 350 and Bigfoot 200. Gavin's commitment to service extends beyond his military career, as he serves on nonprofit boards supporting outdoor education and avalanche safety in the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Mary E. Kreis, a former U.S. Army Major, has seamlessly blended her military service with academic and athletic pursuits. She's completed 21 ultramarathons, 55 marathons, and numerous other endurance events. Mary's dedication to fitness and education is evident in her role as a college professor and her extensive list of athletic achievements, including cycling across the USA and leading an all-military adventure racing team.

Jason Wood, a U.S. Army veteran with three combat tours, found healing and purpose through endurance challenges after struggling with PTSD and other issues post-service. He's completed numerous ultra-distance events, including running 150 miles in 48 hours on a treadmill for charity. Jason is now preparing to run across the country for Team RWB, aiming to inspire others and support veterans through physical and social activity.

Peter Consalvi, a 29-year-old Navy veteran, served as a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer on ships in Spain and Japan. During his service, he discovered a passion for ultramarathons, winning his first 50k and completing a 100-mile race. After separating from Active Duty in 2023, Peter embarked on an ambitious year-and-a-half bicycle ride for charity from Mongolia to Spain, showcasing his commitment to adventure and service.

Bill Savage, born and raised in Philadelphia, is a former Army Ranger and Paratrooper with the 82d Airborne Division. His military career included training and combat deployments across three continents. Bill has successfully transitioned his military discipline and endurance into civilian life, becoming an accomplished ultramarathoner, Ironman 70.3 competitor, and long-distance cyclist.

Cole DeRosa, a recently retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and Wounded Warrior, served for over 28 years with multiple combat deployments. An accomplished Army Ranger and decorated veteran, Cole has seamlessly transitioned his military discipline into the world of functional fitness and obstacle course racing. He's a champion in HYROX events and has achieved 136 podium finishes in Spartan Races, showcasing his exceptional athleticism and determination.
