Team RWB Debuts at AUSA Annual Meeting, Showcasing Support for Holistic Health and Fitness
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), a leading nonprofit organization supporting the holistic health and fitness of Veterans and Service Members, family members, and civilian supporters, announces its inaugural participation in the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition, October 9-11, 2024, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
Team RWB's mission aligns closely with the Army's Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) system, a top priority for both the Army and AUSA. This shared focus on comprehensive wellness underscores the importance of Team RWB’s presence at this year’s event.
With programs designed to support four pillars of well-being: physical health, mental health, relationships, and purpose, Team RWB’s programs and initiatives support not only Veterans but also Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserve Service Members in their journey towards overall wellness.
"As a recent retiree from the Army and a long-time Team RWB member, I've experienced firsthand how our organization supports the holistic health and fitness of our military community," said Col. Michael Sullivan (Ret.), Chief of Staff of Team RWB. "Our presence at AUSA is particularly meaningful to me. Having benefited from Team RWB both during my Active Duty service and now in my transition to civilian life, I'm excited to showcase how our programs complement and extend the Army's H2F initiatives. We're uniquely positioned to support Service Members, Veterans, and their families throughout their entire military journey and beyond."
Key highlights of Team RWB's impact include:
Engaging over 18,300 unique Veterans and Service Members through the Team RWB App so far in 2024
Facilitating 19,500 opportunities to build a healthy lifestyle in 2023
Building 380,000 mutual member-to-member connections through the Digital Garrison
68% of Veterans and Service Members reporting BMI improvements who were active with Team RWB over a 6-month period (self-reported)
