Concept of Operations

Situation

From 1861 to today, over 1.3 million men and women have died in service to our country. Memorial Day is a day when America honors and remembers their sacrifice. This year, it will be observed on 27 May.

Mission

Honor the 2,462 service members killed during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. Run or walk as far as you can in 41 min and 2 seconds. That’s one second for each service member killed during the War in Afghanistan.

Dedicate your miles to those KIA (from any conflict) and share their stories and photos in the Team RWB Member app and with us on social media.

Be sure to tag us and use #TeamRWB so we can see and share them.

Other Ways to Participate

Want to host your own Monthly Mission event? Here’s how to create your own member-hosted event in the app so fellow Eagles can find and attend.
STEP 1: Open the Team RWB Member App and select Events on the bottom navigation menu.
STEP 2: Click the red plus button near the bottom of the screen to add your event.
STEP 3: Enter the information for the event. Be sure to include “Memorial Miles” in the event title so members know it’s a Memorial Miles Monthly Mission event. Once complete, click Create Event. That’s it, you made an event!
Can’t attend your chapter’s event? That's ok! You can participate virtually in 3 easy steps:
STEP 1: Open the Team RWB Member App and select Challenges on the bottom navigation menu.
STEP 2: Look at the Active Challenges and select the Monthly Mission event of your choice.
STEP 3: Once you’re in the Challenge, click Events and “Check in” on the correct Date so you get your Monthly Mission badge. That’s it!
