Overview
Join Team RWBs first ever Bikepacking Expedition! Challenge yourself on 250 miles of varied terrain in this iconic adventure through the American desert. You’ll need your hardtail bike and bike gear for this one as you and the team push your two-wheeled boundaries during the day and connect around the campfire at night. Bikepacking experience is required to attend.

Please Note: Eagles need to have mountain bikes, camping gear, and the required gear to support a multi-day ride on single track and dirt roads.
ABOUT
A 4 day 3 night bikepacking adventure.
What is bikepacking? Bikepacking is riding your bike while carrying all the gear you need to thrive outdoors like camping equipment, food, water, and bike maintenance supplies. It’s like backpacking except you trade hiking for MTN biking.
Additional Details:
250 mile route over mixed terrain.
This trip will be supported with a support vehicle but it will not be accompanying the group on the route. The vehicle will mainly be positioned at camp sites.
This will be Team RWBs first bikepacking Expedition!
Eagles can expect a blend of single track, two track, gravel USFS/BLM roads, and some pavement as the route nears small desert towns.

Fundraising Commitment
$250. The registration fee can be fundraised and participants are encouraged to do so!
Required Gear
Bike:
A hardtail Mountain Bike or gravel bike is recommended.
Tubeless setup preferable (there is only one bike shop in Las Cruces that rents bikes and they have a limited selection)
Bike Tools:
Multi-tool, tire levers, tube patches, spare tubes, master link, mini-pump, tire plugs, extra sealant
Camping Equipment:
Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, camp chair, pillow
Headlamp, charging station, gps head unit
Cycling clothes, off the bike comfortable quick drying clothes,
Light sandals for camp shoes
Hygiene gear
Water bottles, energy snacks and drinks
Prescription medications, prescription glasses
sunscreen, SPF-rated lip balm
insect repellent
