Adam Werner

Adam is a native of Worth, Illinois and proud to be back in his home state serving as the Illinois State Coordinator for Team RWB. Previously, Adam served 15 years as an Army Aviation Officer (UH-60 “Blackhawk” pilot) and United States Military Academy Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership, where he taught psychology courses and served as the Deputy Director for the Engineering Psychology Program.

Adam has deployed twice to Afghanistan in 2013 and 2016/2017. Adam currently is the Research Director for Design Science, LLC in Evanston, Illinois where his team provides expertise in human factors engineering to the healthcare industry, bringing the latest life-changing innovations to the world by optimizing usability and safety in medical products.

In his free time, you will find Adam participating in functional fitness programs, spending time with his family, and cheering on all Chicago / Illinois sports teams. Adam’s greatest achievement is his family—wife, two children, and three dogs.
